A panel discussion for professionals working with children and young people. Berni Smyth, CEO of KDYS is delighted to host a discussion on youth mental health on Thursday 13th October 2022 with panellists: Roisin Clarke CEO of Mental Health Reform Ireland, Senator Tom Clonan Recently elected Senator to Seanad Éireann, university lecturer & a retired army officer. Tom has campaigned against gender discrimination and sexual violence against women and is an advocate for children and young people with disabilities. Dr Brigid Quilligan Manager of Kerry Travellers Health and Community Development Project, Ian O’Connell Well known Killarney native, inspirational young person & presenter on Radio Kerry. All of the panellists are fearless leaders who have faced personal adversity, challenged stereotypes, questioned societal norms and shone a light on injustice. They will be sharing their insights and experience of courageously leading to affect positive change. Join us for this discussion on youth mental health which will highlight what we, as professionals, can do to achieve better services and supports for young people in Ireland.
