Understanding and Supporting your Adolescents Emotional Journey
Denise Enright, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist and Play Therapist with the renowned Children’s Therapy Centre, will give a talk for parents of teenagers.
Adolescence is a time of profound change for both teenagers and their parents. This talk will explore the unique challenges and opportunities that arise during early adolescence as teenagers navigate significant emotional and psychological shifts.
We will discuss brain development, social influences. identify exploration and increasing independence to give insight and understanding on teenagers' behaviour and needs. Parents will be offered practical strategies for fostering good communication and connection, setting healthy boundaries and supporting emotional well-being.
By the end parents will feel more equipped to navigate this crucial stage of their child’s life with empathy, patience and confidence.
Denise has a Bachelor in Primary Education from Mary Immaculate College and accredited with the Irish Association of Play Therapy & Psychotherapy.
