Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions

Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions
This introduction to the S.P.A.C.E programme is a 75-minute presentation followed by a Q & A session for parents that are parenting an anxious child. S.P.A.C.E aims to treat children and adolescents with anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder through PARENTAL BEHAVIOUR CHANGE. Although children DO NOT attend SPACE sessions, they are the patients! When SPACE treatment is successful, children feel less anxious and function better following treatment.
Some of the main anxiety problems treated with SPACE include:
Separation anxiety, Social anxiety, Generalized anxiety, Fears and phobias,
Panic disorder and Agoraphobia, Selective mutism, Obsessive-compulsive disorder, Faddy eating & Failure to launch (adult children that are not working/in training/or in college and may or may not have mental health challenges). If you are struggling to understand or know how to support your young person, with anxiety-related issues, this will be of interest to you.
